The 2017 Didsbury Dogsled Derby held this past January at the Didsbury Ag Society grounds was a great success thanks to the many dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors and supportive Ag Society.

We were looking forward to the 2018 Dogsled Derby to be held Jan 6 & 7.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the race committee has had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2018 races.

A number of factors have led to the decision some of which are trail safety concerns, landfill road crossings, labor intensive trail maintenance, lower than expected entries, the lack of space to expand and improve the trail system to attract a larger field of racers.

Thank-you all for your support and understanding.

The Derby is great way to celebrate winter! Winter dog-powered sport at its best!

This is the premier race in southern Alberta for mushers and skijorers of all ages and abilities.
